Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-01-08
This Privacy Policy explains how ImageBase64 ("we") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our image-to-Base64 service. Our core principle is: we only process data to complete the conversion and do not retain it long-term.
Summary
- Standard image to Base64 conversion runs locally in your browser
- We do not store or retain original image files or converted Base64 results
- After processing, related temporary data is cleared as soon as possible
- Any Base64 you copy or save locally is managed by you
What information we process
1) The image content you process
Standard image to Base64 conversion is performed locally in your browser, so the image does not need to be uploaded. If you use optional server-side features such as compression, format conversion, or security validation, the selected file may be sent only to complete that requested processing.
2) Basic technical information
For security and stability, we may process the minimum necessary technical information (e.g., request time, error logs, approximate request size range, IP-based risk checks). This is used for abuse prevention, troubleshooting, and performance optimization, and not for identifying you personally (unless required by law or necessary for security incidents).
What we do NOT collect
- No account required; we do not collect passwords or credential data
- We do not sell your data or build ad profiles
- We do not build user profiles based on the image content you process
- Unless you contact us for feedback, we do not need your identity information
Data retention & deletion
We do not retain original image files or conversion results. Standard conversion happens locally in your browser. If a server-side feature is used, data is processed only for the shortest time needed to complete the requested action and then cleared as soon as possible. Any Base64 you copy, download, or save locally is managed by you.
Third-party services
If we use infrastructure services (such as CDNs, cloud hosting, logging, or monitoring) to ensure availability, those services may technically process the minimum necessary information (such as network requests and error logs). We try to choose trustworthy providers and configure them under a “minimal data” principle.
Security measures
- Reasonable access controls and isolation to reduce unauthorized access risk
- Basic risk control and abuse detection to prevent malicious uploads and attacks
- Continuous improvements to shorten the lifespan of temporary data
Note: No internet service can guarantee 100% absolute security, but we will keep improving and hardening our system.
Your choices & rights
- You can choose not to upload images containing sensitive information
- You can review and redact content before copying Base64
- If you have questions or need assistance, you can contact us via the information below
Policy updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect feature changes, compliance requirements, or security improvements. After updates, we will show the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If an update involves material changes, we will provide a more prominent notice.
